My son has his B&G interview on November 8th.

He has taken the CFA but wants to take it again on November 6th, since the first time he took it on the heels of a 12 mile run for cross country and was tired. Believe he had a passing score, just not what he would have liked.

XC State meet is on the 30th and next available date to redo the CFA with the PE teacher is on the 6th.

Question: is the B&G interview needed to have his record complete and ready to go before a board. If so, he'll get it uploaded on the 6th just before the B&G inteview.

Or does he need to get it in ASAP and use his existing CFA since this is the last thing ...?

MoC nominations are all underway, all paperwork completed, and he will have his last interview Nov 7th.

Thanks - everyone has been such a help here. We DO appreciate it !

Do you mean BGO?:) Yes, it has to be submitted before the USNA will look at his file. Good luck!

Yes, the BGO interview is needed to complete the application. However, if the interview isn't done and the packet is o/w complete -- and has been complete for awhile -- USNA MAY proceed w/o it. It's not their preference, however, and is typically done only if there is reason to believe the BGO (who will be notified of the missing interview) is unable to get it done.

If that's all you need, don't hesitate to contact your BGO and request an interview. BGOs get busy with real life and may not check status as often as they should.
