To get a congrats from the school on a Army ROTC scholarship ?
My son got email from Admissions officer/MSI instructor saying he has four year ROTC scholarship. We have not heard from the Army just the school.

Could they have gotten information from West Point application ?
 
Let me rephrase question, can a student get a ROTC offer just from completing the West Point application ? My son didn't quite finish ROTC application but got an offer. Could this be a mistake ? He did finish everything for the West Point application.
 
Our DS did not apply to UNCCH, nor completed his NYU (OOS) applications. Yet, he got a letter of acceptance from both schools. They had a connection with AFROTC from an admission board status. They saw his name, saw his stats, saw he wasa match and had an AFROTC scholarship in hand.

It happens, at least for AFROTC it happens.
