I will be separating soon and was wondering if i could do both at the same time? I know reserves is one weekend a month and 2 weeks a year. Would i be able to manage that with a normal rotc schedule?

Yes, just remember though you will likely miss some events.

Army has their Simultaneous Membership Program or "SMP" (i.e. student is both in reserves/guard & ROTC at same time, with ROTC getting preference when duties coincide), which I've read pays pretty handsomely - something like $1500/month plus scholarship - & has a guarantee of not being activated or deployed.

But I don't believe the Air Force has a similar program.

There is a cadet at my detachment who is in the AF Reserves and just started his second semester in AFROTC, he seems to be managing classes, reserve duty and ROTC pretty well. All I can say is that GMC cadets who have no military experience will look up to you as an example, while the POC cadets who train you will expect more from you. ROTC is a completely different structure, so it will take a little time to adapt, but just get through the training successfully and reach for those gold bars, I am sure hard work and time will pay off.
