A Navy lawyer who prosecutors say passed secrets about detainees at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, to an unknown, “unauthorized person” will face a general court-martial here Monday, according to Navy Region Mid-Atlantic.

Lt. Cmdr. Matthew M. Diaz has been charged with improperly forwarding information to an unauthorized person, although the nature of the information has not been made public. Specifically, he’s charged with four counts of transmitting and removing secret information, conduct unbecoming an officer for “wrongfully and dishonorably transmitting classified documents to an unauthorized individual,” and failure to obey a lawful general regulation....
