Jesse Jackson Jr. Nomination????

We all should know by now the situation going on with the now former Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr., but does anyone know what is going on with the nominations that were requested by him? I requested one from him, but I just received my ROTC noination today. No one at his offices would answer phone calls or call back. Should I be okay with just having the ROTC nomination?

we are in IL so I am very familiar with the Jesse Jackson situation.

Did you also apply to Kirk and Durbin? Maybe they can be of assistance.

Maybe you can reach out to Napoleon Harris (New State Senator for Illinois' 15th Senate District- He played college football at Northwestern and was drafted by the Oakland Raiders-Owner of Beggar's Pizza) He is currently the front runner for Jesse Jackson's seat.

I did not try Kirk or Durbin, but I will most definitely try the Harris option. Thank you!
 
Make sure you pay attention to deadlines. The special election primary is scheduled for February and the actual election is not until April 2013. The new Rep. will then have to be sworn in and install a staff to deal with constituent services.
