Currently my NJROTC unit is holding interviews to be on staff. I was just wondering some of the questions that could be asked (other than just naval knowledge). Thanks.

Hi Supernova,

Congrats on your involvement in a great program. Both my DS and DD were JRTOC kids with both holding various roles up to and including Unit Commander. Here are some of the types of questions they were asked and asked of others...

* Define Leadership / What are the most important qualities of a Leader
* What do you know about the position you are applying for / Why this role
* What would you do differently in this role than the last person
* What do you believe are the biggest opportunities/challenges for the unit
* How would you handle / Share an example of where you dealt with (often taken from real world situation the unit/role experienced recently)

Finally, remember that everyone in that room knows you and is not expecting you to be totally polished pro. Be yourself, be honest, be articulate.

Good luck!
