Does taking JROTC help or is even considered in the board's decisions???? Or is it an academic burden????

If you have a leadership position within your JROTC unit it will definitely add to your leadership experience, but I have no idea regarding academics.

It really depends how involved and what else you do. For one thing, JROTC normally prevents (or at least limits) one's ability to play in competitive sports. So, if you go the JROTC route, I HIGHLY recommend making sure you are active/athletic and can prove/document it (i.e. local hockey league, run road races, football club, etc.).
