At our school, everybody on varsity football who does not get significant playing time on friday nights plays on saturday mornings as our jv team. I play plenty on Fridays, but I also play on Saturdays and am captain of that team on saturdays. I will be earning varsity letters this year. Is this captainship worth mentioning to USMA, or only varsity?

    Any opinions would be great.

Yes, leadership is leadership. In your case, you are still doing the same basic functions as a Varisty captain (inspiring, motivating, and leading a group of your peers to work together and succeed). The only difference is the skill at which they play but the leadership is the same.

What about a game captian. Because my coach doesn't have "captains" they switch every game.

Other than walking to midfield and picking "heads or tails," does it involve any leadership decisions?

    Sport team captain

When you check the "TEAM CAPTAIN" block on your candidate questionnaire, we are looking for varsity team captain. If you are a game captain or a JV captain, annotate it in remarks as such but please do not indicate that you are a varsity captain. Thanks!
