Know Anyone Who's Ever Received a Waiver for a Peanut Allergy?

I don't know all the details of your son's allergy and am not a doc, but I do now the process for waivers at USMA.
1. If he has a Primary Nom. your Regional Cmdr in admissions should be initiating a waiver request.
2. All medical records go to Keller Army/Community Hospital where a Specialist (Doc) will review and make recommendations to the Hospital Director. This is where the final yes or no comes from.
3. It might require further testing, but the process is a 60-90 days due to volume of waivers and resources and resetting if needed.
4. The nominating source for the Primary should also be involved in asking "what gives".
As a Field Force Rep., last year it took to late March to get a "qualified" on a Primary Nom. for another medical issue. She had to have further testing. The process works.

I have an almost qualified peanut allergy candidate this year who will surely get an offer if he gets medically qualified, and his waiver has been requested and thus the process begins. You should be in close contact with your Regional Cmdr. Also ask for the person in Admissions who is responsible for DODMERB liaison. She is very helpful.

I am hopeful that you are doing what I stated above. Good luck.
