I was just wondering if I went to USNA as an Arabic major, if there was any possibility of getting into Aviation. From what I have heard and read you are more likely to make it in like a Physics major, but i just wanted to know if I would still have a chance with a foreign language major.

Any major is fine for aviation. There are no specific requirements. What is important is to do well in your major (and all your courses) so you have the best shot at getting the service selection you desire.

The best way of getting selected for aviation is to 1) stay healthy, 2) try to stay away from the bottom half of your class with regards to order-of-merit, 3) and do some activities that are related to aviation. (i.e. take soaring or ask for an aviation cruise for a summer block. Maybe become a member of VT-NA.)

Just remember, there IS a quota and, generally speaking, more want to fly than there are slots available. And then, once you get selected, and get commissioned, they will pair you down even more in flight school.

Can you major in a language at Annapolis? I always thought it was a minor.
