Can anyone shed light on the process of going to Law school after the Coast Guard Academy. I.e. # of slots, how competitive are those slots, what is the service commitment after. Any information will be greatly appreciated!

You're generally going to go to an operational unit after you graduate…. so a ship or sector or flight school. After that first tour you can apply to a number of programs, including law school. The Coast Guard's JAG corps is pretty small, so it's competitive…. how competitive…. I'm not sure. A few officers in each class become lawyers at some point in their Coast Guard careers (earlier rather than later).
