If you've already been awarded an appointment, I would send an email to one of the coaches asking this question and giving a short summary of your LAX background. I'm sure they'll be in touch. Do it soon as there are NCAA deadlines to be considered. I know that some sports held info sessions during plebe summer but can't say if LAX did. Good luck.
