LEAD applicants

Just talked to an Lt on the Admissions team and she said that the 425$ for the in processing fee is lowered based on what uniforms you bring. But she said if you want to get reissued uniforms you can pay the full $425 or whatever amount it takes. I don't know about y'all but since their taking my measurements, I'm gonna get reissued my uniforms to form fit, and I'll bring like 3 occupational badges for my abus and some badges for my blues.

Yeah the Lt called over to the Prep and asked about it because the Financial Information handout conflicted with the Priors items to bring list. But yeah the Lt confirmed in an email to me. If you want a copy for safety just email me on Nipr and I can forward it to you. I'm the only Bourdeau on Elmendorf.

In the event you had to get new ABUs, why wouldn't you just take the badges off the old ones?

This is from "Old AF", but when ever I got new uniforms, everything on the uniform was new. It looked more professional that way, from stripes to badges to name/US Air Force tapes, everything was NEW. I retired a "few" years ago, but not unlike many of you, did BTZ, Airman of the year, SSgt first time around and many other honors. Maybe I am "old school" but that is how I always saw it. The cost burden was not so much compared with the professionalism everyone else saw.

+1. I Wholeheartedly agree! Keeping your uniforms looking sharp and crisp can really take you a long way!

I can definitely agree with especially when it comes to blues.

So I'm curious and hopefully someone at the Prep can answer this. But what has the usual uniform of the day been for the class year? For my office here in Comm, our commander just made it blues 5 times a week unless doing maintenance or dirty work. And for anybody who was issued uniforms there, did they issue the blues pants that can be machine washed/more casual (AF blue 1625) or the 1620 variety that is the only pants authorized with the service jacket?
