Could anyone give me info on what careers the military has to offer in the legal field? As in what could a Political Science/Economics major do for an officer? I want to go into law, but no neccessarily law school? Is there a job for me?

Why not law school? I have practiced law for 28 years now and it is still a lot of fun. My friends who were in JAG tell me that was the best time of their lives.

i actually am considering law school. but that means more tuition $$$, more time, and if through the military, more commitment (which i don't know i can make)

Honestly, I really want to be a prosecutor

Sadly...there are PLENTY of opportunities to be a prosecutor as a military JAG.

Classmate of mine went the law school route...has been both defense counsel and prosecutor...and is now doing the judge thing.

He LOVES it! Saw him at a reunion...said he could make a LOT more money outside but was loving what he was doing so would go to 30 years.

Nice to see people happy in their careers! :thumb:
