Letters During Beast/CBT?

The Beast address should also include the Beast company. We did not find that out until R-day. I'm not sure how else you find out unless you wait until they write you. Parents attending R-day can find this out at Eisenhower Hall.

Seems like that defeats the purpose of being able to give friends/family self-addressed envelopes in advance.

As parents, we were told that the Beast Company was important to put on the letters once they headed out to Lake Frederick. So we pondered that dilemma too. Do we print out the address labels minus the Beast Company before DS left or do we wait until we had all the info that would be provided on R-Day. We decided that we would rather have too much info on the address label and if it was overkill, then so be it. Once we got home from R-day, we printed the address labels and put them on white envelopes and gave them out then. I always carried several in my purse and when I ran into friends, I would give them one. Also, space the letter writing out. Everyone will want to write the first week or two. I gave out envelopes all summer long to make sure that DS got letters all summer long.
On R-day when you are given the full address, you will have the opportunity to write a note and mail it then. That way they will get something in their mailbox in a day or two and you can start the letter writing campaign when you get home.

When does more info regarding R-day and beast get sent out? We are under 60 days away now :eek: (Oh and with AP exams starting Monday most seniors have our last real day of school left tomorrow :biggrin::biggrin::jump1:)

You should be getting it sometime in mid to the end of May. I am guessing they wait until May 1st to process all that so they know exactly how many are coming and they can space out the report times accordingly.

I guess that was what the Beast Company was for in the address. I never noticed because we were only there for about 2 or 3 days and didn't really have time to write letters or even think about them. I guess living 2 days without mail just wasn't a big deal, especially being that close to it being over.
