Long story short, I'm 62 inches (female) and weigh about 150 pounds. Yea I know I am much too fat for USMA at current time. I have yet to get my DODMERB done (trying to lose weight until then). Should I do my DODMERB while I am still about 15 pounds overweight, or should I just go ahead and get the exam done? Will I be disqualified for being too heavy? If I have a remedial, can I do another weigh in? I am working hard to lose weight, and it is my mission to serve my country, and serve it well.

Thank you ahead of time.

use the search function to find some other threads on this subject. I saw one not too long ago that posters who appeared knowledgeable were saying being over-weight for DODMERB was not a problem.
But once one reported in July, and thereafter, it would be a big deal. If true, you have time to get in shape and get the weight off.
Other threads talk about ROTC cadets getting stiffed just weeks before commissioning over weight issues. By 'stiffed' I mean dis-enrolled from the program and being required to repay the govt for their education.
These are not 'scholarships,' they are forgivable loans.
