In the email blast that recently went out to appointees they attached a list of livescan locations... but the locations were all army installations. There are none close to San Diego, would I be able to get the livescan fingerprinting done at a private facility?
(I've emailed my RC and I have no response yet...)

USMA2016,

First, congatulations on your Apointment to the USMA Class of 2016 and thank you for your contributions on the SA Forum board!

I would suggest you email or call Ms. Drouin, Chief, ISO at West Point:

Colette A. Drouin
Chief, ISO
DPTMS, USAG-WP

email: Colette.Drouin@usma.edu

She most likely can answer your question.

Good luck to you and all at USMA!

I am in the same situation, the nearest base for me is Fort Polk which is about 4 hours away.

Not having easy access to a livescan location means I think you will have to go to the local police department to get your prints.

You don't need to go to a livescan place

Im having mine done at my local police department

Although in CA, where they pay their public officials in IOUs, they might not offer that service for you.

But give it a shot, it could save you a good $30

When are the finger print cards coming in the mail? I am going to try the police department.

My son received his fingerprint cards in the mail yesterday.

He also received the dental paperwork and envelope to mail x-rays.

Yes my DS has received the dental paperwork also. The fingerprint cards just arrived in the mail today. Time to go back to the police station!

Who knew a WP appointee would be spending so much time at the polics station?:thumb:
