My daughter has a LOA, she has received her nomination. CFA qualified, medically qualified.

We thought everything was good and done but now her portal says "complete, pending review". I thought they already had done that because she received the LOA. Please explain this step in the admissions process. Thanks!

Did her portal ever state (at some point) that she had an LOA? If not, are you sure she had an LOA?

I would check again. I have both nomination and LOA, but my status remains "conditional offer/loa".

How does she know she is 3Q if USNA no longer routinely tells applicants their status?

So your DD portal states "complete, pending review" and "conditional offer/LOA" ?

They would not give out a LOA if they were not academically qualified. OP said she passed CFA, Dodmerb, and secured nom.

I know you are aware that she has a nomination, but is the academy? Slates aren't due until 1/31 and in any case the academy doesn't know until the slate is submitted, so that could be the hold up. The only other thing that comes to mind is that they are waiting on 7th semester grades which I understand all applicants are required to submit.

What has your timeline been? Just a reference from our experience last year: DD received her LOA in October to USNA. She was notified of her nomination (the only requirement stated on the LOA) on December 10. Nomination showed up on portal December 17. BFE was received December 29. Her portal never updated to reflect the appointment was on the way. Perhaps it just needs time to work through the system.

DD also received an LOA and appointment to USCGA. She declined her USNA appointment, and is beyond happy at USCGA. Go Bears!

Thank you for everyone's advice and comments by I am thrilled and proud to announce this am she received the official acceptance into the class of 2020 from USNA.
Congratulations to your DD.
