I received an LOA to the Naval Academy on September 23rd. I'm was just wondering, does anybody know the percent of candidates who receive LOAs and end up getting a nomination as well?

If you get a LOA, I'd say you're pretty much in already. A LOA means that as long as you receive a nomination, you'll be accepted to the academy (barring a change in physical status or something else drastic like that, of course). Most MOCs will, when they notice that you have a LOA and are aptly qualified, simply nominate you and you're set.

    Congrats btw.

I've never seen the percentages. The fact you have an LOA is a good sign b/c it is true that many MOCs will give their noms to LOA candidates. However, it isn't a done deal. I had a candidate last year who received an LOA but no nom and did not receive an appointment. It's rare, but it happens.
