LOA + Senator Nom = Appointment?

Congrats usna_candidate and CandidateElias.:thumb: I'm with you guys as well. I received an LOA in August and just got my nom yesterday. I'm almost scared to relax and admit to myself this is real. I don't think I can relax until I get that BFE in the mail, which very well might not be until next year since MOC's aren't required to turn in their noms to the academies until 31 Jan. However I hope it will come sooner then that!

Yeah, I'm still scared to relax, I havent recieved the BFE yet..

verbal assurance

The interviewer for Senator Schumer said that she would talk to my congressman's office and see if i can get a nomination from there. Can I start to feel comfortable? Or should i still be on the edge? I feel that based on what I've read, the fact that I have an LOA kind of puts me in front of the line automatically.

You bet it does. With a BIG "BUT..."

And the But being any pending issues. Absent those, it's like a winning lottery ticket that was taken in a burlary. Uncashable.

usna_candidate, that's great to hear. I too live in GA, and my nom is from my congressman as well, so that gives me hope that my BFE will be coming soon. Congratulations on receiving it :thumb:
