Something to also consider; which is in common with all 3 academies that require nominations; is that your particular district/state might have a lot of open slots available for one academy, but totally full up on another academy.

True, and geography probably plays a part too.

When my Plebe was going for her interview with Sen #1 there are about 3X more kids scheduled for NA and MA than for AFA. We're from CT. So getting one of his nominations for AFA presented less competition (if just from numbers of kids seeking a nom.) I'd guess the reverse is probably true in Colorado.
