Local Appointments

I knew there have been prior USNA grads in recent years but, in the latest edition of my sons HS magazine there's a short bio of a couple dozen seniors of approx. 600, two of which have received appointments for 2014.
I have no idea of the demographics or how competitive Long Island is for SA appointments but, it struck me as being a lot.
I also found out that 3 classmates of my sons have applied for NASS.
