    Hello,
This question was brought up to me by a friend.
If a candidate is reapplying to a service academy but is currently going to an out-of-state college, does that candidate compete with other candidates in that specific state or his hometown?

    For example:
If I live in the state of Washington but attend the University of Oregon,
am I competing with candidates in Oregon or Washington?

    Thanks!

I would assume you'd be competing with people who're applying/re-applying but if location does matter more, I would assume where you live. In Washington (for your example).

Which ever state you're a legal resident in....those are the Congressmen that will nominate you.
