I'm sure 2013 Indoc will be similar to the one I experienced three years ago. My input would be to pack everything on the list including extra underwear and socks. Underwear because they get trashed, and socks because you can never have enough socks. With a razor, get a pack of cheap ones to last through indoc. If you're in Band or 2nd (you won't know until you are, unless band) pack a high quality fan! Don't pack anything fancy, pack disposable. Later you can send the high tech things.
Also, it is safe to pack anything that plebe candidates are allowed to have after Indoc. If you do so it would be wise to pack it separate from the list items, maybe in a separate bag.
Make sure you can run with everything you pack.
