Any recommendations on trunk or luggage size for an incoming Rat? Would a wheeled duffel be a suitable alternative? Thank for any suggestions.

My son took 3 pieces - one like a roller duffle - we made sure that the others fit inide (when all empty) that way it could be stored in trunk room and not be oversized. For the record, my son did have to carry in other loose items (grouped together in large bags) - pillow, fan, etc. My son also had been to STP - didnt have to bring home his hay (mattress) so he also had to collect it once he unloaded his stuff in his room. Also carried his computer in its bag seperately - so he had several trips to room during matriculation morning for room assignments -I saw families helping carry stuff up to room - ONLY other time family or anyone else is allowed in barracks is a 1-2 hr viewing during parents weekend - so by helping cart the stuff to room parents got a chance to see!
Hope that helps - by the way - see you show a coppell address - we lived in coppell while my son was 1-8yrs old - still have my brother there - i will PM you -
