I completed my M.O. NROTC scholarship application back in September. Recently I retook the pft (scored a 280).

While there, the Capt. administering the test mentioned that for the early board there will only be 16 scholarships award on the west coast (Hawaii, Alaska, Washington, Oregon, California, Idaho, Montana, Utah, Nevada) and about another 45 on the second board.

Does anyone know how many applicants there usually are on the west coast for each board?

Interesting question. Unfortunately, I don't have the answer. There were probably 50 email addresses on a group email from the coordinator office where my son submitted his application on the west coast.

What are your top three schools that you selected? The waiting is hard. Good luck to you. I'm sure you will be successful in whatever your next adventure might be.

My top three schools are Texas A&M, Oregon State University (I'm from Oregon), and University of Colorado (Boulder). I know Texas A&M is supposed to be popular for ROTC because of its corps of cadets, so that might be a little bit of a reach school (not academically, just scholarship-wise).
