My DS is in the same boat as many of yours...waiting and hoping for that thick manilla envelope.
What I have come to know is that there are NO poor candidates that make it through to be 3Q'd and have a nomination. Thus, although disappointing if it is a TWE, there is some comfort in knowing a candidate who is just like mine made it in. Please continue to pour positive support on each other as we all have great kids!!
Always ensure your non-academy back-up school is set in stone. Three year's ago my DD received a NROTC scholarship however it was to a school on her list that she did not get accepted to. All of the slots for scholarship at the three schools she was accepted to were full and she was unable to take advantage of the award.
Learning new terms as I go.... "BZ" to all who have been appointed!!
