I have my interview with my MALO this week. I was wondering if anybody can explain what it will be like. Will it be like my interviews for my nomination?
Thanks in advance

The interview with your MALO is optional (pretty positive, someone correct me if I am wrong), but helpful in that they send an evaluation form up to WP. I guess every MALO is different, but my interview was nothing like my MOC ones. He barely asked me any questions... just if I knew about certain things about WP (generic- yes or no) and a little bit of an explanation of my resume. He took the time to explain stuff about WP mostly. It was longer that my MOC interviews, however not too long because the Phillies Game was coming on . Either way, I am sure that your MOC interviews will have prepped you enough for this one. You will do fine, and best of luck :thumb:

Consider the MALO interview a mutually informative discussion. Your MALO is trying to see what your motivations are and a bit about you besides what's on your resume. They are also there largely to keep you informed. Half my interview was devoted to me asking my MALO questions, not the other way around. Go to the interview dressed for success and confident in yourself and you will do fine. Some common questions would be ones that tell your MALO you have done some research on USMA and know a bit about the program and the admissions (nomination, CFA, ect) process.

db10, howd your interview go? I think we live in the same county. Were you interviewed by Colonel Blanchard?
