The Class of 2018 completed their 12.2 mile March Back this morning, and presented their class motto -- "With Strength We Lead". I just wanted to say thank you to everyone on this forum who provided advice, knowledge and opinions over the last couple of years to this non-military mom and to all of those candidates hoping to receive an appointment.

My two older kids and I will travel to West Point this weekend to watch the Acceptance Day parade and ceremony, and spend two short days with my DS. I imagine there will be noticeable changes in him. We are excited for him and anxious to hear about all that he has experienced so far. And then the academic year starts! We will not see him again until mid-December, so we are going to make this weekend count. :thumb:

Enjoy!

Enjoy your time, ca2midwestmom! Just back from Parents Weekend in Annapolis and it was absolutely fabulous. I may have been able to be strong and hold back the tears when we dropped him off on I-day, but rest assured, there were tears of joys as I hugged my baby again as soon as Town Liberty commenced!

Safe travels.

Thank you USNA02! I have a feeling A-Day will be more emotional than R-Day was 7 weeks ago.

It is an incredibly proud time! It is emotional but in a very different way than R-Day.

Hang on - the roller-coaster ride has just started.
