Math & English ACT scores

By reading the forum I have learned that USNA looks at math and english scores. Do they disregard the other scores? Can a candidate do well on english and math and not be concerned about a lower score on science, for example?

From what I've read Math and English are the only ones that fit into the "magic formula" for the Whole Candidate Score/Whole Person Multiple or various other terms used.

The board has access to the whole of the ACT scores, so I guess it would be possible to have the others looked at and possibly figure into some of the subjective adds or at least compare to other areas of evaluation of the strength of the packet. Only the board knows, though.

I recall a post here a while back where Math was supposedly double the value of English. I cannot say if this was true or is true, but if true this might be another factor to consider.
