I received an LOA about a week ago. Since receiving it, I found out that I am medically disqualified for two different things( an inguinal hernia that has been repaired surgically and will be completely cleared in about 6-8 weeks) and the other is for Accutane( which I will be off of in Febuary and will be cleared before April 1st). My question is since these are both temporary conditions that will not affect me after April 1st, How much will this affect my chance of an appointment with an LOA?

    Thanks for any help.

I'm not entirely sure, but I would definitely post this on the DoDMERB thread and try to get a hold of Mr. Mullen.

Definitely talk to larry on the DODMRB forum. But I can tell you, that while you say that these things won't affect you AFTER April 2011; the fact remains that currently; today; you are DISQUALIFIED. Which means, if I'm not mistaken, that your package won't be considered until you ARE QUALIFIED. But talk to larry on the DODMRB forum. He'll know better than anyone. That's his job. Best of luck to you. mike....
