I was just wondering, how many cadets from ROTC go to medical school? I know at the academies there is a mandated number of people allowed to go each year to medical school. Is it the same for ROTC?
I've heard a number of around 200 per year who receive an ed delay to go to advanced schooling. Not sure how many of those go law and how many go med. I'm talking Army here. Numbers may be a little different for the other branches. Remember that there is no guarantee that you will receive the ed delay, so you may want to look at other options for medical school like http://www.goarmy.com/amedd/education/hpsp.html if med school is the only thing you can live with.
