On February 14, 2014, I was notified that I had been disqualified for my medical exam. I have contacted Dodmerb and my admissions counselor and am wanting to hear from USAFA if I am competitive enough to be considered for a waiver? How long did it take to get notification that you were being considered for a waiver and what things have people done to provide medical evidence for reconsideration of status (seeing doctors around the academy, specialists, retired military doctors, ect.?

Our DD was DQ'd (for Spondylolysis) on 10/1 and on 10/4 both USMA and USAFA requested a waiver. We sent in all of the requested materials and she was granted a waiver from USMA on 2/4 (almost exactly 120 days), but has not heard anything yet from USAFA.

I was also medically disqualified on January 20th, but was notified that I received a waiver the day of my septoplasty (to fix my "obstruction")- Feb 11! I still haven't heard anything either, but I'm hoping for the best :D

My DS was disqualified on 10/21, had a waiver requested on his behalf 12/19, and received the waiver (!!) today 2/25.

He put together a package for the waiver board (submitted through DoDmerb) with a letter explaining his injury, what was done, doctor's notes, and evidence of sports participation.
