I'm a cadet in Air Force ROTC and just received a medical disqualification due to a "history of mood disorder" (D232.10) which is pending waiver submission/review. About 6 years ago (during my junior year of high school) I was diagnosed with situational depression due to a number of factors (most notably a short-notice assignment my active duty Air Force dad got). I have been symptom- and medication-free for the past 4+ years.
Before I got DQ'd I was competitive for an in-college scholarship, which I desperately need to continue college, and my board for Field Training is supposed to meet soon.
I was wondering if anyone has any tips for how to resolve this issue quickly, what documents/records I should submit, any additional items (letters, recommendations, etc) I can/should submit, or any similar stories.
Any information would be greatly appreciated!
