Some of the USCGA Scholars at NMMI will be in the upcoming movie release "Men Who Stare At Goats," which stars George Clooney, Kevin Spacey, and Jeff Bridges. Parts of the movie were filmed in November 2008 at the NMMI campus. The scholars were fitted with US Army uniforms and wore these in various movie scenes. They also had a private dinner with the cast, which made for a nice break from their normal routine.
