"Minimal Scoliosis" effect on the process

I had my exam and my doctor said I have a very slight bit of scoliosis that's minimal and something I'll "probably grow out of," wasn't diagnosed with it. Has anyone gone through a similar process and would DODMERB issue a remedial/AMI/DQ for what she described as minimal?

My oldest DS’s dr. made a similar comment when he was younger so we put it on his DODMERB form. DODMERB asked for any doctor records or surgical notes related to his scoliosis. We didn’t have any (because he was never actually diagnosed with it) so they had his doctor write a note stating that fact. Finally, they had ds schedule x-rays. It was an easy process and he was deemed medically qualified after the x-rays.

As were were going through the process, his doctor was adamant that he does not have scoliosis and shouldn’t have put it down on the medical questionnaire. Everyone has a little curvature and they were just watching his to make sure it didn’t develop into an actual diagnosis of scoliosis. That sounds like it could be your case too. If we were to do it over again, I’d call our doctor to find out if he actually was diagnosed with it or if they were just watching to make sure it didn’t develop into scoliosis before disclosing it on the DODMERB form. If it was diagnosed and in the records, disclose it and work the process. My doc said the disqualifying condition (degrees of curvature) was fairly advanced so just having scoliosis doesn’t automatically mean a DQ.

Oh, I just realized that you meant he said it at the DODMERB medical exam, right? Well, either the doc will write it up and DODMERB will contact you about it or it isn’t a big deal and that’s the end of it. You’ll find out soon.
