Minimum for CFA

CFA

When I was hunting last month in south Georgia, there were some wild pigs. The "herd" has been thinned and now only the small ones remain. With the adults gone, the Coyotes come around looking for an easy kill. Each day, the slow piglet becomes the meal. DON'T BE THE SLOW PIG! You're joining the military. Beyond the Academy, your fitness may save your life one day.

I passed the CFA for USNA with 46ft in BB throw. But I was strong in other areas, so idk if those were the factors that let me pass.

My son took the CFA today and his results are as follows:
BB - 63’
PU - 14
SR - 8.6 sec
SU - 95
Push ups - 88
Mile run - 6.16

Are these CFA results a positive reflection of what the Naval Academy is looking for?

There are no USNA-published minimums for the CFA. Army and Air Force have published minimums in the past, but never Navy.

My DS took the CFA at USMA and did well on everything but was a little low on the basketball throw because he had been practicing it wrong. His rep at USMA (who is also a family friend and works in admissions) told him that all he needed was to pass. It accounts for only 10% of WCS. Use the time he would have spend improving his CFA score to focus on improving something else like SAT scores.

THANK YOU!!! That was our thoughts too, just no real life experience in this process he is undertaking.
