MO NROTC Scholarships are out and Offical

DS keeps calling schools he applied to to ask if they have heard anything about if he was picked up and they will not return his call. He even called the Reserves a few weeks back but to our "surprise" no call back.... Do they want people to join the military or not?

Want and Need are not interchangeable in this economy. Either they could be busy and your calls fell through the cracks, they just don't have any motivation for their jobs, or they are just simply ignoring. Id keep calling or even visiting depending on your location to the recruiter(s).

My son had a 3.8 gpa in a 4.0 scale, Cadet Lt. Col. in CAP, excellent PT scores, and 5 varsity letters. He did not get the MO NROTC scholarship. We were told by an elected official that the DOD is being strong-armed by the administration to put minorities at the top of the list in order to diversify the officer corps.....

Unfortunatly, my son is now so dissapointed in the government and the Marine Corps that he is reconsidering his life long dream of being a Marine Corps Officer.

I talked to Texas A&M today and they do not have the results from the 2nd board yet
 
Well recruiter called tonight... No scholarship. On to plan B. :thumb:
