MOCs nom for NAPS

    Do you need a MOC nom to get accepted to NAPS? On the NAPS thread, it seemed candidates were being accepted and my MOC apps aren't even due until October .

    No, you don't need a nom of any kind to be accepted to NAPS. That decision is made entirely by USNA.

    However, it is possible for a candidate who is initially offered NAPS/Foundation later in the year to be offered a "direct" appointment. For that, you need a nom. Thus, pursuing MOC noms is a good idea.
