Who knows, you might be one of the very few who is awarded 4 Yr... you won't know until the envelope arrives.

Wow, nice surprise.. clearly the email from the ROO was a kind of form letter. You should be very proud that his application was strong enough to merit a 4 yr.

4-Yr Room & Board for 3-yr AD Cadets

"The school we have been offered does cover room & board for scholarship cadets. I have no idea yet how this works for a 3-yr AD. Does the school step up with room & board for 3 AD freshman not yet on scholarship? That would be awesome, but I doubt it."

I also wonder if this is possible, but assumed it wasn't. does anybody know?

Just to follow up: My son and I visited our offered school recently and met with an admissions officer while there. This school DOES extend the Room & Board offer to cover all four years even for cadets enrolling in the ROTC program as 3-yr AD. That was a very nice surprise. Not sure how common it is, but thought I should pass it along.
