Hey All:

My New Cadet, Ken Skillman IV, is in Beast and it is driving me nuts not being able to find him in any R Day photos or videos on the USMA site. :frown: He attended the SLS last summer, so we decided to skip the cross country flights from California for a 90 second drop off. Now, I wish we had gone anyway. I saw that Facebook has a West Point Parents page, but I am wondering if there are any other sources of photos or videos?

I am a consulting Civil Engineer, married 25 years (tomorrow) to my lovely wife, Rita Joy, who is the Assistant Director of HR at our local hospital. Our eldest, Ketrina, is a Junior at The Ohio State University with a dual major of biology and international studies. She is awaiting results for the MCAT she took a couple of weeks ago. Our youngest, Josh, is the techie in the family.

I look forward to getting to know other West Point parents on this forum.

kgs,
If you get on facebook you will see so many pictures. The parents club coordinator, Deb, has done a great job with this site. Also, the pictures are posted on a flickr site, which you can access via facebook. Over the next few weeks, many parents will be posting links to their pictures (from plebe-net). You guys have a zillion pictures compared to what we had last year. You also have 5 more weeks of pictures coming your way. Take a few seconds and get on facebook...you will be happy w/ what you find. Also, you will meet other 2013 parents and be able to see the pictures they post.

I remember what it was like searching the pictures for my son during Beast...that was two years ago but it seems like yesterday. This year I will be looking at the pictures too, but instead of new cadets, I'll be searching the faces of the cadre to find him.

Check the USMA website for pictures too. There will be a CBT album under the link for the class: http://www.usma.edu/Class/2013/. Looks like there are no pictures posted yet, but keep checking back.

Happy hunting!
