My chances of gaining admission into west point

    Unweighted GPA: 3.914
    Class Rank (unweighted): 42 of 428
    Weighted GPA: 3.514
    Class Rank: 39 of 428

    SAT scores :frown:
    Critical Reading: 480
    Math: 470
    (I know unimpressive, retaking October)

    Extracurricular Activites
    Weightlifting-varsity
    Going to do Swimming Senior year
    National Honor Society
    Student Government
    JROTC
    Boy State

    JROTC Achievements
    Next year Battalion Commander
    Superior Cadet
    National Physical Fitness Award
    SAI/AI Leadership award
    over 200 community service hours

    If i need to improve on anything (Im aware about my SAT scores lol) any advice will be helpful. Thanks

    If you cant get those SAT's above 550, your chances of getting an appointment are pretty low. Not completely gone because they look at your whole package, but you have to remember that there are thousands of applicants that have the same or better EC's and sports and much much better SAT scores.

    You should also try taking the ACT. A lot of people (myself included) find the ACT a much easier test to take.

    Yeah, I noticed that too. I think he just mixed them up.
