My one problem with Norwich

You just know BTexino is doing really well if he has an offspring who’s a Third at VMI. That alone keeps him young. Well, that and all the driving on I-70 and I-64 to Lexington. You see, he has found the Fountain of Youth in the form of Peach Nehi at a certain convenience store in Beckley, WV.

Speaking of the “PAC 8”, I did my Army ROTC instructor duty at UCLA and learned to heartily dislike those “cardinal and gold” folks from across town. The “Juice” was long gone by that time, but I got to watch another Trojan named Marcus somebody-or-other. He was “running machine” #2.

Go Bruins, and Giants by 3!

My "favorite" road is I-81. 80 mph with semis passing you like you're standing still with State Troopers lurking all around. A particularly fun drive at Thanksgiving.... If you are coming from Beckley WV (a town I know well), you must be well acquainted with I-81. Just think, if your DS is a Third, you have 2 1/2 years more to make that lovely drive. My DS is a Rat (wait, he *was* a Rat -- the Class of 2015 broke out Saturday) so I have 3 1/2 years to go.

Rook will be allowed to watch in the rook dining area.

"Ethan Allen" and the "Green Mountain Boys". They would probably be Patriot fans but Tigonderoga was in NY. Giants are in Jersey so it does get confusing. YA, Gifford, Scrambeling Fran, Csonka, Simms, Taylor, Don Maynard and my favorite Bavaro.

pennak, I-89 in Vermont during Thanksgiving is also a comical scene, especially in the men's restroom in the rest area just south of Exit 5 immediately after their last class on Wednesday. That's where all the rooks heading home for the holiday would discard their uniforms in favor of jeans and a sweatshirt for the rest of the car ride home.

This was a dirty secret among the rooks, at least in my day. :thumb: Sssshhhhh, don't let Devil5891 know!:shake:

That's a hoot! For VMI it is Rockbridge County, VA where VMI is located. The cadet has to be in uniform while in the county, must leave the county within 30 minutes (or is it an hour?) after leaving VMI for furlough and Rats can't drive in the county at all. We stop at Staunton, Va, just outside the county line for these machinations.

Great post. My son would just change in the car as soon as we left Northfield. We would send him back on Amtrak. There was always 10 or 12 kids in Norwich Uniforms waiting to board the train in Metropark, NJ. My son said the rooks had to wear it for the whole 10 hour train ride.

Missed it by THAT much! :yllol:

They(NBC) showed Mr. Kraft at the end of the game

Watching the replay of him during the last play was tough. Took a little edge out of the Celebration. Well Pat Fans, you still have Coach B and Tom Brady. Plus two 1rst round picks and two 2nd round picks. I know you will be back.
