My visit to the yard

I finally visited the Naval Academy this past weekend. I was given a private tour due to a connection w/ someone I know who works there. On the tour we went through admissions and lo and behold! The quarterback from last year is now assigned as an admissions guide or what-not. He asked me if West Point was ever going to have a decent football team. I looked him in the eye and told him to watch my amazing self control as I bit back all the snarky comments I wanted to make (double standard for athletes when it comes to honor/conduct violations, why he's at USNA and not at officer basic training,etc), and congratulated him on a great season. It is a beautiful campus, and the grounds keepers have done a great job making it safe for pedestrians, given all the recent snow.
