Hi all,
I'm a second time applicant for USNA. I do Marine Corps opt NROTC at a four-year university and I was wondering if it's possible that I'd get a Foundation scholarship or into the NAPS program if I don't get either an appointment or that nasty TWE.

No. Your college performance will carry you or otherwise, but NAPS is predominantly for athletes and "needs of the Navy" candidates who are academically deficient. Foundation schools are predominantly prep schools (a few colleges) again to park and buff up candidates in need.

Good luck and do your best in your college courses, which are presumably aligned with courses similar to a plebe year curricula .

My son is currently at NAPS. He says of the 300 kids there are about 200 athletes and the remaining 100 are basically kids who were academically qualified but were not athletically qualified.

Do any courses taken at NAPS transfer as credits to USNA?

At this stage of the game you would be better served to continue going to college and working on improving those grades.

MOSD, everyone gets the opportunity to validate courses during plebe summer. Grades/credits do not transfer.
