Naps/foundation question

I was wondering if anyone knows how USNA notifies you about an appt to NAPS or Foundation school. If I get a TWE, will it also mention whether I am no longer being considered for either NAPS or Foundation or will I still be in the running for a potential slot? Last year my brother got USMAPS but the offer came in mid-May and after he had already received his TWE. I was just curious if anyone knows how USNA does it. I haven't read any threads about USNA rejection letters yet. Have any gone out to anyone's knowledge? I may have missed a thread about that. Thx for any insight.

When I got my appointment to NAPS 2 months ago, it came in a large yellow envelope with a hard blue binder inside with the official certificate inside. There was also a congratulatory letter and some paperwork to send back in (tattoo forms, acceptence forms to sign, etc.). Once you send that back in, you wait until you get a second BFE with more info, including travel arrangements.

And yes, you can get a TWE and later get a direct appointment, NAPS, or foundation. The paperwork I got for NAPS specifically said this offer superceded any previous communication (such as a TWE).

I don't know if any rejection letters have gone out yet.

Thanks Pilot2be. I remember when you posted that you got your offer. I was curious if TWE's went out first but it sounds like there is no specified order to how it all goes down. Thanks for your insight and again, best of luck!

I got a nice big white envelope from the foundation, with an application to fill out. It's only 3 pages or something like that and can be done in five minutes. They called me to say I had been accepted about a week after I mailed in my app, so it wasn't too long of a wait. The letter that came with it stated that the Admission Board recommends about 200 names to the Foundation each year and the Foundation takes about 50 each year. So getting the package doesn't automatically guarantee sponsorship. That was over a month ago and I have yet to hear anything back from USNA no TWE or BFE.
