NAPS Plus Nomination

My son was given a conditional acceptance to NAPS in late October2010. Just last Friday he received Senator Roberts nomination to USNA. Does his application go back for review for admittance to USNA?:rolleyes:
 
They're unlikely to revisit the decision based on the nom. However, they may revisit NAPS/Foundation candidates later in the process to see if they qualify for a direct appointment. Accepting NAPS won't affect that decision -- they have offered folks already accepted to NAPS a later direct appointment. Rare, but it happens.
 
I'm curious, if you don't mind saying, on what condition is the NAPS acceptance based?
 
NAPS is generally offered to those whom USNA believes have significant potential/promise as mids but need additional academic preparation to succeed at USNA. Some common issues: high grades coupled with low SATs or low grades and high SATs or great leadership and sports but some issues with math, science, etc.
 
Clearing a medical waiver was the only condition. They did call the Tues of the week his application went to board (Thnursday). Asked if he would accept NAPS. Letter sent on Oct 22, the day after the admission board. Son is Natioanl Honor Socirty but could not best a 26 on math, 25 English.
