My son got accepted to Valley Forge Military College through the Foundation. He also just received in the mail an invitation to the Candidate's weekend.
kiann1212, It appears that your son is getting mixed signals. To answer your questions directly:
No. Although CVWs are given to highly qualified candidates, a candidate doesn't have an appointment until given a fully qualified offer of appointment. This tends to indicate that he is still in the running for an appointment to the class of 2013.Does the invitation mean he is getting an appointment for the Class of 2013
Not quite, but almost. Over 95% of NAPS and Foundation sponsored students that successfully complete their training are appointed to the subsequent class. This would tend to indicate that he is no longer in the running for an appointment to the class of 2013, but is virtually assured a spot in the class of 2014.or does the fact that the Foundation is sponsoring him this year that he will be part of the Class of 2014?
I'd have your son call his BGO to determine his status.
