Dropped DS at the airport this morning for NASS. He was so excited and a bit nervous.

A huge thank you to everyone here for all the great insight, advice and thoughts. We have learned so much about USNA, adding a few activites or camps to make him a better candidate, the application proces, and most importantly, I think, the tidbits of information that we didn't even know we didn't know that have made us so much more informed.

Good luck to all this summer!

All the best...

Best wishes to your DS, lets hope they all have fun...

Ours is at NASS now likewise and I'll second your sentiments of all the benefits we've received from this board. Very thankful for that and thankful that he's even getting to experience this much, regardless of his decision to pursue an appointment or not.

I know one of the midshipmen running the NASS this year. She was one of my brightest, most amazing USAFA candidates...until she went to USAFA's summer seminar and then visited USNA.

So now she's finished her plebe year at USNA...and is totally excited about the NASS! (Okay, she's at USNA but I'm still just as proud of her as I can be!)

And if any of your kids have her...they're truly blessed and in for a treat!!!

DD was not accepted by the USAFA for SS last year, but got to go to NASS. She LOVED it! When Navy made the first appointment, I truly thought that's where she would go.

She leaves in a month for USAFA, but it was an incredibly hard decision to make. She knew she would be very happy at the USNA, too. She still considers NASS a pivotal point for her and hopes to be able to do an exchange at some point in her cadet career.
Not only did she find out about life at a service academy she discovered Physics at her NASS workshops- which is likely to become her major.

A great experience all around!

NASS, thank you

To our hopeful Midshipmen,

Good Luck, God Bless and God Speed to you all,

RGK

NASS was great

DS was at first week of NASS. He has had the goal of attending West Point since he was in elementary school. NASS has convinced hi USNA is where he should be and hopefully a marine officer. NASS was well conducted and he was very excited upon his return. Now for the application process.
