NASS

Molly: Hang in there! I'm also in the same boat... Just chillin waiting for the mail. Hang tight!

alas I am not alone!!! I thought it was just the like 3 of us left on newcadet. It's nice to know there are more. I sent an e-mail too but no luck. I don't have much hope of getting in but I have another camp I need to commit too so I need to know for sure. I guess we will just keep checking the mail and stalking admissions. Until then, good luck.

I know that many people have called admissions to find out their applications status; just a though (especially if you need to reply to another camp)

Well I got in! Session 1. Just heard yesterday by mail. Very exciting! Just made my summer a whole lot busier :)

Well seems like it is all coming together!

Congrats to all  ...now on to business

I am new to this whole procees going to NASS Session 2. I have been looking at the CFA info and I see the maximum score info...what is the average ..I run xc and swim and am not to worried about crunches, push ups but what is the average or above average for a female. If I were going to have my coach put me thru the 40 min. test where should I be???

I have regionals and states in Track in the next two weeks but after that i can start training so what is a good baseline for a first time.

Don't fret over not being accepted to NASS. It does not mean you won't get in. I wasn't accepted to any of the three SS programs that I applied to (Military, Naval, and Air Force). However, I received a letter of assurance in Oct. of my senior year, a nomination in Nov. and had all my paperwork filled out and squared away by Jan.-Feb. Others get into NASS and are never accepted or accepted late. They try to get people that live far away from the academy to come because they feel that those that live closer will have other opportunities to visit. They also strive for diversity in the candidates which may limit your acceptance chances. If you go, make the most out of it. If not, it does not necessarily mean that you are not a favorable candidate.
